Representative Paul Clymer (R-Bucks) has introduced HB 2082 that would amend Pennsylvania gaming control law to prohibit the establishment of a casino within ten linear miles of the boundary of a nation military park or a national memorial designated by the Congress of the United States after September 11, 2001. This legislation would protect the Gettysburg National Military Park and the Flight 93 National Memorial by creating what supporters have deemed a "zone of respect". The bill is currently in the House Gaming Oversight Committee.
