  • Announcing Grant Recipients for the PA African American Cemetery Stewardship Program

    Pennsylvania Hallowed Grounds and Preservation Pennsylvania are pleased to announce grant awards to thirteen African American cemeteries to assist in their ongoing preservation efforts as part of an African American Cemetery Stewardship Program funded by the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund (AACHAF) through the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) with support from The 1772 Foundation.

    On May 9, as part of Preservation Month, the National Trust for Historic Preservation announced the 2023 list of America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places. Two of the eleven are located in the city of Philadelphia. It’s time to rally round and support these preservation efforts!

  • Centers for Innovation: Westinghouse R&D Center and Bell Labs Holmdel

    This is a two part webinar that will explore two major examples of midcentury corporate campus design, once home to innovative thinkers who helped forge technologies that shaped modern America. One is vacant and was nearly demolished for warehouse development. The other has been re-envisioned, revitalized and reopened as Bell Works, a thriving mixed use community hub.
